Theme Park: Vespira
This is my theme park that I asked to re write a couple of weeks ago.
This is how the flower opens during night time (Also the whole theme park is based on this sculpture) :
Vespira
Immerse
yourself in the land of Vespira, a wandering theme park in the shape of a
flower that opens only during nighttime. The theme park is set in a fictional
world based on our time’s 20tth century.
In this world, a major world war exploded and lasted about 100 years it was
named the Günisian and involved the vast majority of the world’s countries.
Eventually, this war drastically divided the social statuses and left the
common folk experiencing a devastating socio-economical crisis. During the last
years of war, Captain Jean Fêbrê established the park with its main purpose to
entertain, evoke hope, and the will to progress as a society. With the help of a group of entertainers
called the Red Lilies, Fêbrê and his crew entertain visitors almost like a
gypsy crew or family.
The
origins of Vespira and its owner are a mystery but it is said that the flower
places itself in cities that recently faced adversity, if removed; the park
will go onto the next city. The flower is often spotted in big open spaces, main
squares, old ruins, gardens, etc. With
the purpose to narrow down people with
Humble hearts who can serve as base of a solid
reconstruction of a nation.
The
theme park is designed to look like a flower with six petals, each one
containing an attraction or two attractions with a main one the
middle. Each petal is monitored by one of the members of the Red
Lilies, who are in charge of entertaining visitors and monitoring different
attractions / order in each petal. The main attraction is the Mirage
Stigma; a tower found in the middle of the park that contains two observation
decks and a main observatory. It also functions as a radio that plays
background music for the park. At the bottom of the tower, some live
performances are held twice per night, from dancing to acrobatics people gather
to witness a show full of charm! Besides being in charge of the park, Fêbrê is
in charge of the area where the Mirage Stigma is located. He controls the
tower, the ambiance, and who is allowed to enter the observatory.
Fêbrê,
also called “Le sorcier“ is a man that has much charisma and is kind
of a trickster. He takes interest in others who show a great passion for the
arts and tries his best to recruit them to join his crew. He is dressed in
a princely fashion with a cloak that has flowers and stars as patterns. He also
carries with him a stick and points at everything with it.
The other rides
are a carousel, a house of mirrors, a pirate ship, bumper cars, a rollercoaster
called Le monster (the monster because it is made out of wood and can resist
winter, rain, heat, etc), spinning tea cups, a Ferris Wheel, and the last one
being a loop- o- plane. Each of the attractions are monitored by the
red Lilies: Anemone, Azelea, Magnolia, Jeanquille, Hibi, and Vio who all have
flower names.
In
between the minor roles, all the members of the crew are asked to entertain visitors
euphorically almost Disney - like they serve as the main characters of the park
therefore all eyes are on them. The red lilies personalities vary. Jeanquille
is childish and sweet; Azalea very vain and judgmental; Vio is ambitious and
doesn’t take a no for an answer; Hibi is moody and quiet, Magnolia is restless and
creative, and lastly, Anemone is the leader of the group, she is the most balanced
and mature member in the crew. Each petal is decorated with the color it was
assigned to each member. For example, Hibi’s cartier is blue, or has many
decorations with blue color, she has blue Hibiscus in her zone at the park,
etc.
The
park also offers food and crafts to be sold, almost like a fair. It is colorful
and full of flowers inside, with neon lights everywhere that makes the whole
scenery magical. No wonder why Mr. Fêbrê gets his magician title, he is able to
make everyone drop their jaws while being in here. The only downfall is that
the park only stays in cities for three days, saying its goodbye with a
firework show and disappearing the morning after, the park has no age limit,
only some attractions do so because of safety regulations.
