The Forest of Souls (Dominions of the Nome King)

The Forest of souls is an underwater / underground territory located to the East of Oz, with the Land of Ev and the Wheeler’s territory bordering the north, Rinkitink bordering the east, The Vegetable Kingdom on the south-east, the Whimsies to the southeast, Phanfasms to the southwest, and the Deadly Desert on the west.

Its routes are to be kept a secret from everyone, but there are three ways of entering this area. The first one is to go through the road of Evna, which is guarded by an Iron Giant who possesses a massive hammer that crushes any living thing that tries to infiltrate the dominions and the second one is through the Rubber Country, which is guarded by a Nome called Kaliko who is the Chamberlain of the king.  Low class and older working Nomes only know the third one, which is diving at the bottom of the Hot Lake.The Forest of souls is located much lower than the Palace chambers, the Nome King is able to enter as he pleases, there is a shortcut through the castle but the path is blocked.

The Forest consists of four major trees that grow separately pointing to the cardinal points, making it easier to have a location reference and not get lost in it.  The weather is always foggy and cold. Before it became inhabited, Nomes used to reside on the west part of the forest until a disease wiped them out, the remaining ones were lucky enough to flee to the surface. The Forest of soul is highly toxic and the only way to walk around it is by wearing a facemask.  It also has one of the biggest cemeteries in the Land of Oz, with at least 10.000 tombs, located on the east. The southmost part of this area is a toxic garden where enormous plants grow, it also has some of the rarest flowers in the land of Oz. There is no sky here, the light comes from a dome where crystals reflect the rays of light from the surface.

The only residents of the Forest of Souls are the creatures that look like giant worms, they're carnivorous therefore, it is a very dangerous place to walk around alone. This land is also known to hold many toxins and viruses that the Nome Army metal workers infuse with their weapons to enhance their magical powers provided by specialists who venture in the depths of this area.
