Power in Hermeros
The Sheikh has the most power in the tribe and is in charge of every merchant and its profit in the belt. He is able to control each node through a group of watchmen called the Alhurrasse who inform the status of each merchant. The Alhurrasse are undercover and their age and gender varies throughout different zones, they are the most loyal to the tribe.
The Balacus are the tax collectors of the tribe. They charge an amount every end of the month. They are able to kick out merchants from the tribe if their payment hasn't been delivered in more than 3 months, most of them take over the shop. Some of them aren't reliable that's why the Sheikh keeps them in a lower position in the hierarchy. They aren't aware of the Alhurrase's existence or how they physically look like.
High Merchants, these are the merchants in the belt that have the biggest stores and the amount of treasures they sell is massive. They are allowed to open other shops in within their respective node / village only with the approval of the Sheikh.
Common Merchants, just common merchants in the tribe. Provide an average amount of earnings / treasures to the Balacus.
